Universal Studios Florida has replaced the HHN 35 archway medallion with themed scrim. The horror season kicks off tonight, August 28.
Universal Studios Florida Entrance Archway Medallion
When we last visited the park to check on the repainting project, more blue construction walls as well as white scrim were added to the entrance. They surrounded all but two archways on the left side.
Since then, the entire main archway is now covered in scrim. The white scrim is painted to mimic the appearance of the concealed archway, complete with a gold Universal Studios Florida logo, a palm tree-lined walkway, and a Halloween Horror Nights 35 logo medallion. It’s replaced a real HHN medallion that has always been present to welcome guests.
Though the walkway is narrower now, the main archway is still accessible for foot traffic.
The paint color scheme of various shades of yellow and brown has remained largely unchanged since our last update.
For reference, this what the archway looked like during last year’s Halloween Horror Nights:
The large Halloween Horror Nights logo medallion was suspended above the walkway, held in place by anchor points in the archway.
The Universal Studios Florida exit, ticket booths, and entrance buildings were all repainted earlier this year. Previously pink, they were all painted white with brown trims. The entrance archway is expected to get a similar color scheme.
Halloween Horror Nights 35 is on select nights from August 28 through November 1, 2026. Stay tuned for our coverage of the event.
