TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A fire broke out at the Davis Island Yacht Club in Tampa on Friday afternoon.
The yacht club is located on the southern end of Davis Islands, near the Peter O’Knight Airport.
As Eagle 8 flew over the fire, the mast of the burning boat, the Onde d’Arengto, appeared to collapse onto a neighboring vessel.
Firefighters arrived shortly afterward and put out the blaze.
“Tampa Fire Rescue is on scene of a boat fire at the Davis Islands Yacht Club involving two vessels,” Tampa Fire Rescue wrote on social media. “The fire has been extinguished. No one was aboard either vessel, and no injuries have been reported at this time.”
