TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – An 18-year-old is behind bars in connection with a sexual battery investigation involving a minor, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).

Authorities said Jesiel Rodriguez Martnez was charged with sexual battery involving a victim under the age of 12.
There were reportedly allegations that Martnez “forced or enticed the child to engage in sexual activity,” which led to an investigation. Investigators found that Martnez did engage in sexual activity with a juvenile starting in July this year.
An arrest warrant was then obtained, and the United States Marshals located Martnez. He was taken to Leon County Detention Facility without incident.
LCSO says this is an ongoing and active investigation.
