TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After dry weather this week, we are tracking a couple of rain chances for the weekend.
Tonight Through Saturday Night
Isolated showers are possible for Friday night, mainly in our western counties. However, most of us are dry and muggy. Lows settle in the mid-and-low-60s under a partly cloudy sky.
The forecast will stay slightly unsettled for parts of the weekend. Spotty showers are possible on Saturday, especially for the first half of the day. We should see drier weather and a little more sunshine for the late afternoon and evening.
Highs on Saturday reach the upper-70s and low-80s.
A stray shower is possible for Saturday night, but most are dry and muggy. Lows only fall into the mid-60s.
A Strong Cold Front
A strong cold front is on tap for Sunday. Again, we are anticipating a few showers for the first half of the day. Temperatures hover in the upper-70s and low-80s under a partly sunny sky. We are turning drier and much cooler for Sunday night. Lows tumble into the low-and-mid-40s.
The coldest air so far this season is on the way for early next week. We are dry and sunny on Monday. However, we are breezy and cold. Highs hover in the mid-50s, and we could see winds gusting to 20-25 mph. Lows dive into the upper-20s and low-30s. Be sure to protect your outdoor plants.
Another chilly day is ahead for Tuesday. We are dry and sunny. Highs near 60º, and lows in the upper-20s and low-30s.
Extended Forecast
This cold snap is pretty brief. We are expecting a warming trend for the second half of the week.
Highs on Wednesday climb into the upper-60s under a sunny sky. Lows hover in the low-40s.
We could see temperatures in the mid-70s on Thursday and Friday as our dry, sunny weather continues. Lows remain in the low-40s.
