After a dry morning, showers and storms will begin developing across Tampa Bay by the midday and continue to scatter across the area for the afternoon.
Offshore winds have finally returned to the region, supporting a drier start to the day and stormier afternoon, both Saturday and Sunday.
Highs will remain season in the upper 80s and low 90s Saturday afternoon, near 91° for downtown Tampa. mid-level flow will still be largely southerly Saturday as it transitions to becoming southeasterly into Sunday. This will lead to some midday rain and storm development that will scatter across the area, and possibly linger inland, throughout the second half of Saturday.
As mid-level steering flow becomes southeasterly Sunday, rain and storms will develop later, towards the mid-afternoon, and generally track westward towards the coast throughout the evening.
