The Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help finding the driver of a car that struck and killed a man in Pompano Beach and then left the scene.
Broward sheriff’s detectives are looking for the driver of a car who struck and killed a man whose body was found in a grassy swale in Pompano Beach.
But, this is not the typical hit-and-run.
Detectives believe 44-year-old Lacurtis Knight, from Tamarac, was hit Sunday by the car somewhere else, and then moved by someone to where his body was discovered, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Knight’s body was found in the grass in the 700 block of Southwest 10th Drive around 8 a.m. Sunday, according to BSO. A Crime Stoppers poster states that his injuries “were consistent with being struck by a vehicle at a different location from where he was found.”
A BSO spokesperson confirmed that meant detectives believe he was hit somewhere else, and then moved.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
