CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The Charlotte Crown are the first queens of the UPSHOT League.
Deja Kelly led the way with 29 points as Charlotte overcame a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to topple the Jacksonville Waves 81-76 in the first championship game in the league’s history.
After a 1-6 start, the Crown became the most dominant team in the league down the home stretch. Charlotte won 14 of its final 15 games entering this championship.
KK Deans and AJ Durr both contributed on offense as well, the three 3-pointers each. Lele Grissett led the team on the glass with seven rebounds.
