STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — Deputies are asking the public for help locating an Oklahoma man who went missing Wednesday near Chastain Beach in Stuart.

Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputies say they’re searching for Michael Anthony Debevec II, who was visiting the area with family when he disappeared on August 26.

According to the sheriff’s office, Debevec went to Chastain Beach, also known as “the rocks.” His vehicle was later found nearby.

His family has not heard from him, and authorities say he may be experiencing an emotional breakdown.

Debevec is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall with blue eyes.
