Josh James knows a thing or two about baseball.

He’s a former pitcher for the Houston Astros with a fastball that reached triple digits.

After a few years in the bigs, Josh came to Cape Coral to make his mark on the littles.

Former MLB pitcher and House of Aces Founder Josh James said, “There’s not a lot of direction in the area and I just said, you know, with my background in baseball, you know, who better else to come out here and to give to the community that I love so much.”

Josh found his path through House of Aces, a youth baseball organization that helps teach kids lessons on and off the field.

This year, Josh has hosted free clinics across the Gulf Coast, providing this area’s youth with guidance and a sense of hope.

House of Aces participant Max Licciardi said, “It’s just cool that he can do that, and it means a lot to me that I can do this.”

James said, “I hope that these kids just take away the love for the game, which is the main reason why I’m doing this. I love the game of baseball, and I want the next generation to not just enjoy but love the game and treat it the way that I treated it and learn through my eyes.”

Josh James will look to keep impacting this area for the better as he continues to spread his love for the game of baseball.
