Danfoss, a Tallahassee-based engineering company, has expanded its partnership with Florida State University through a new sponsorship agreement with FSU Athletics, they announced on Friday.
As part of the partnership, student-athletes interested in STEM careers will have opportunities to explore the engineering field through potential scholarships, training programs, and career development initiatives. Danfoss will also establish a presence on Langford Green and throughout Doak Campbell Stadium this season with signage promoting employment opportunities at the company.
“Danfoss has already demonstrated a meaningful commitment to Florida State University and the Tallahassee community, and we’re excited to expand that relationship into FSU Athletics,” Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford said in a statement released Thursday. “This partnership creates opportunities for our student-athletes to connect with a global industry leader and gain valuable exposure to careers in engineering, advanced manufacturing, and technology.”

Danfoss Climate Solutions has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with Florida State University (FSU) Athletics, expanding its investment in Tallahassee, Florida, USA and creating new opportunities to connect FSU student-athletes with STEM career pathways.
The agreement builds on Danfoss Climate Solutions’ current five-year partnership with the FSU-FAMU College of Engineering, where the company is funding scholarships and research opportunities for students and faculty.

The sponsorship will create potential pathways for STEM-focused internships, facility tours, and other activities that connect students with advanced manufacturing and sustainable technology.
Danfoss Turbocor is based in Tallahassee and experiencing strong growth, driven by increased global demand for its oil-free, magnetic-bearing compressors. The Turbocor technology provides a low-carbon, highly reliable cooling option for commercial air conditioning and heat pump applications, helping facilities including offices, hotels, hospitals, airports, and data centers meet decarbonization and energy efficiency goals. Building a strong talent pipeline through brand recognition and early career pathways is critical to supporting this growth.
