DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Former NFL wide receiver Damoun Patterson was arrested in Florida on multiple felony charges, including armed burglary and motor vehicle theft, police said.
The Daytona Beach Police Department booked Patterson on counts of armed burglary of a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and criminal mischief.
Patterson remains in custody subject to the judicial process, according to Volusia County jail booking records. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the circumstances or location of the alleged offenses.
Patterson played college football at Youngstown State before entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018. He spent time on offseason rosters and practice squads for several teams, including the Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and Atlanta Falcons, in addition to playing in the XFL and CFL.
