Tallahassee firefighters deploy to Texas to assist with Palo Pinto wildfire response

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — As wildfires continue to burn in Texas, the Tallahassee Fire Department has been activated to help with the response.

TFD personnel deployed this morning as part of an Engine Strike Team and are traveling to Palo Pinto, Texas. Once there, they will support ongoing operations and assist communities impacted by the wildfires.

The department said it is wishing its crew and all responding personnel safe travels and a safe deployment as they answer the call to help beyond the Tallahassee community.
