Police dispel active shooter rumor in Port St. Lucie after SWAT operation

{p}The Port St. Lucie Police Department is clearing up an inaccurate social media post circulating Thursday claiming there was an active shooting near U.S. 1 and Walton Road. PSLPD said it received no calls for service involving an active shooting. The activity residents may have seen was related to a search warrant executed by the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team at a home on Southeast West Dunbrooke Circle as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
