‘Nosferatu’
WHAT: The undead live again in not one but two showings of the silent-film classic, accompanied by live music. Released in 1922, “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror” was an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.” It follows a vampire who preys on another man’s wife and brings the plague to their Transylvanian town. When Stoker’s widow won a copyright-infringement lawsuit, all copies of the film were supposed to be destroyed. But a few somehow survived. I guess you can’t keep a good monster down. At the Dr. Phillips Center, Grammy-nominated organist/composer Cameron Carpenter will accompany a screening with his own original score. For a more local slant, the film will be screened at Enzian Theater with an all-new score written by the Central Florida Composers Forum and performed live by the Fernwood String Quartet.

BLADE RUNNER LIVE: Nov. 21. The sci-fi cult classic is screened, with Vangelis’ iconic score performed live by The Avex Ensemble.
OUTLANDER IN CONCERT: Dec. 9. A live orchestra performs Bear McCreary’s acclaimed score, curated by showrunner Matthew B. Roberts, while highlights from eight seasons illuminate the screen. From Craigh na Dun to the New World, relive Claire and Jamie’s journey as Scotland’s Celtic sound takes the spotlight.

NAPOLEON DYNAMITE LIVE: Feb. 20, 2027. A celebration of the 20th anniversary of quirky comedy “Napoleon Dynamite” with a screening of the film followed by a Q-and-A session with actors Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro) and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico).

National Theatre Live
The series presents stage productions filmed at London’s National Theatre.
ALL MY SONS: Sept. 19. Bryan Cranston and Marianne Jean-Baptiste star in this production of Arthur Miller’s classic drama about the pursuit of the American dream disrupted by war.
THE PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD: Oct. 24. A woman’s life is turned upside down when a young man walks into her pub and declares he’s killed his father in John Millington Synge’s play of youth and self-discovery.
LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES: Dec. 5. Lesley Manville and Aidan Turner star in this adaptation of the classic novel about the power struggles and affairs of the heart among the super-rich.
