The Miami Dolphins made a league-high seven roster claims on Monday, shaking up a roster that had only been “set” the day before. The final roster cuts, officially happening at 6 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, is often called the “final” roster, though everything immediately begins to change when waiver claims and free agent signings occur – this year as of 1 p.m. Eastern yesterday. Those changes immediately led to major changes for the Dolphins.
Miami’s roster moves on Monday included being awarded the waiver claims of quarterback Brady Quinn from the New York Jets, defensive back Macellas Dial from the New England Patriots, tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick from the Kansas City Chiefs, tight end Justin Joly from the Denver Broncos, tackle Jarrett Kingston from the Houston Texans, running back Reese Taylor from the Denver Broncos, and defensive back Julius Wood from the Dallas Cowboys. Miami also added defensive end Malik Herring, signing the former Kansas City Chiefs player as a free agent.
With all of the changes, we have updated the Dolphins’ 53-man roster.
