Florida sales tax holiday begins for hunting, fishing and camping supplies

{p}Sales Tax Holiday for hunting and camping material has begun. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, items related to hunting, fishing and camping are not taxable, says the Department of Florida Revenue. The sales tax does not apply to rentals of the eligible items. For campers, the eligible items include flashlights and camping lanterns costing $30 or less, camping stoves, portable hammocks, collapsible camping chairs and sleeping bags costing $50 or less, and tents costing $200 or less.
