For the first time since 2015, there is no longer a Sugar Factory in Miami. Once a celebrity-frequented spot known for its over-the-top creations, smoking candy goblets and 24-scoop King Kong Sundae, Sugar Factory’s final location at 507 Española Way appears to have permanently closed.
As reported by the Miami New Times, the brasserie’s final local spot shut its doors in late July or early August as recent Google reviews suggest. While no official closing announcement was shared, the Miami Beach address has already been eliminated from the “locations” page on its website, with the only Florida restaurants remaining in Orlando and Tampa.

The Vegas-born establishment first brought its Instagrammable sugar rushes to Ocean Drive, where the grand opening was hosted by a then-17-year-old Kylie Jenner who greeted massive crowds and showed off her signature Couture Pop lollipops.
At one point there had been locations on Lincoln Road, Alton Road, Bayside Marketplace and even Aventura Mall — with appearances by Mariah Carey, Natti Natasha and Scott Disick. But over the years, each one had slowly and quietly closed.
In 2020, entities tied to the Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road locations had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to the New Times. As the brand attempted to bounce back with new locations, a 2023 lawsuit reported by The Real Deal, filed by investor John Sullivan, alleged that founder Charissa Davidovici and her partners withheld nearly $1 million in profit distributions, failed to repay a $2.1 million promissory note and diverted $1.8 million toward a proposed doughnut shop. A Sugar Factory legal officer declined to comment on Sullivan’s allegations, per the publication.
Aside from Florida, you can still find Sugar Factory locations across the U.S. and abroad in The Bahamas and United Arab Emirates.
