Quinn Ewers has been traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of NFL cut-down day, giving him a new home without leaving the state of Florida. The former Texas football quarterback was drafted in the seventh-round last year by the Miami Dolphins and spent most of last season as Miami’s third-string quarterback. Ewers appeared in 4 games, making 3 starts, and completed 66.3 percent of his pass attempts for 622 yards with 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. The Jaguars sent a sixth-round pick to the Dolphins for Ewers, and he will back up Trevor Lawrence, the former No. 1 overall draft pick. Jacksonville is expected to compete for the AFC South title in 2026 behind a talented offense and second-year head coach Liam Coen.
