A Jacksonville man has been charged following a domestic violence investigation involving allegations dating back several years, the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office said.
The investigation began after the U.S. Marine Corps Provost Marshal’s Office responded to a reported domestic disturbance in May at Marine Corps Air Station New River involving Joshua Lanman and the victim, according to the sheriff’s office.
OCSO said their investigation, conducted with assistance from the Provost Marshal’s Office, determined Lanman, 24, committed acts of domestic violence, including strangulation, in the Sneads Ferry area.
Lanman was arrested Aug. 28 and is charged with:

He was released on a $20,000 unsecured bond with electronic ankle monitoring.
