Gary David MacMath, 74, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on July 30, 2026.
Gary was born on October 2, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to William Henry MacMath and Lorna Evelyn MacMath. Throughout his life, he was known for his compassion, dedication, love of sports (especially soccer) and his unwavering commitment to serving others.
For 42 years, Gary devoted his career to Boley Centers, where he faithfully served in many roles before retiring in 2022 as President and Chief Executive Officer. His leadership helped improve the lives of countless individuals throughout the community, and his legacy of service will continue to be felt for years to come.
Above all, Gary’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia (Marcy) MacMath; his daughter, Erin MacMath; his son, Zac MacMath; his daughter-in-law, Trish MacMath; and his cherished grandchildren, Jameson and Ryan MacMath; his brother Bill (Debbie) and his sister Lynne. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and colleagues whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Gary will be remembered for his kindness, integrity, generosity, and the positive impact he made on everyone he met. Whether through his professional leadership, his devotion to his family, or his willingness to help others, he lived a life defined by purpose and compassion.
His family finds comfort in the countless memories shared and in the enduring legacy of love, service, and strength that he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and forever be remembered.
Per Gary’s request, he wants people to celebrate him the way he liked to celebrate; with music, food, drinks, and the sharing of favorite Gary memories. If you knew Gary, you have more than a few good stories to share.
We will be hosting an Irish Wake/Celebration of Life.
