TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Leon County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with Farm Share Wednesday to give away free groceries and fresh produce to local families.
Cars were lined up for the drive-thru distribution from early morning. LCSO Sheriff Walt McNeil said that ‘protecting and serving’ also means making sure families have food on the table, especially with rising back-to-school costs.
The sheriff’s office said more than 300 families received food at Wednesday’s farm share giveaway.
