WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – Two people were reportedly struck by lightning on Wednesday along the West Orange Trail, according to the Winter Garden Fire Rescue Department.
In a release, fire officials told News 6 that first responders headed to the trail after a call came in about a “medical” incident along the trail. The call was later updated to include that someone had possibly been struck by lightning.
“Upon arrival, crews found two victims on the ground and one not breathing,” the release reads. “One male, one female.”
Both patients were ultimately taken to the hospital in critical condition, fire officials added.
