ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Certain municipal facilities and city services across St. Petersburg will shut down on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day, local officials announced Wednesday.
The holiday closure will also alter the standard weekly route for residential waste management. According to the city, residential trash and recycling pickups normally scheduled for Monday will move to Tuesday. Crews will then complete regularly scheduled Tuesday routes on Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday collection days will operate as normal without any schedule changes.
Residents looking for full details on specific facility schedules can visit www.stpete.org/HolidayClosures. The city also recommends downloading the “St. Pete Collects” mobile application to receive real-time updates and reminders regarding neighborhood collection schedules.
