Hillsborough Fire Rescue responds to small plane crash

TAMPA, Fla. — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded Thursday morning to a crash involving a small aircraft.

Upon arrival at the crash scene, off U.S. Hwy 301 near the Tampa Executive Airport, crews encountered a small aircraft fully involved in fire.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and crews remain on scene.

Officials have not released any further information.
