FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A 16-year-old is accused of setting up an armed robbery in Fort Pierce, according to the Fort Pierce Police Department.

FPPD says that on Wednesday, officers responded to an armed robbery in which the victim arranged an online meetup and was confronted by three males.

According to the FPPD, one suspect displayed an AR-15-style rifle and stole the victim’s iPhone. The other suspects stole a purse and other personal belongings from the victim’s grandmother’s vehicle.

During the investigation, detectives quickly identified a 16-year-old male as one of the suspects involved in the robbery. Within 24 hours of the crime, detectives located and arrested the 16-year-old, according to FPPD.
