St. Pete residents can safely dispose of environmentally hazardous household products and items that pose a fire hazard if included with regular household trash during a waste collection event on Saturday, Sept 5.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Pinellas Technical College, 901 34th St. S., St. Petersburg.
Trained professionals will be on-site to ensure items are disposed of properly, according to a news release from the City of St. Petersburg.
Accepted items include:
Antifreeze
Gasoline
Household chemicals
Motor oil
Lawn and garden chemicals
Mercury-containing devices
Paint products
Pool and spa products
Rechargeable batteries
Signal flares
