Board of Special Magistrates
9 to 11 a.m. The Village of Key Biscayne’s Board of Special Magistrates meets to hear cases involving alleged violations of the Village Code, including certain citations issued by the Key Biscayne Police Department. The five-member board can hear testimony, review evidence and determine civil penalties related to code compliance. Residents may also appear before the board to appeal a citation.

Flamenco Meets Jazz on Ocean Drive
6 p.m. Experience the fiery rhythms of flamenco blended with the improvisational spirit of jazz at the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series. Guitarist Paco Fonta and vibraphonist Alfredo Chacón lead an ensemble joined by bass, guitar and flamenco dancers Celia Fonta and Liliana de la Caridad. Bring a lawn chair, blanket or picnic and enjoy the performance under the palms at Lummus Park. Free and open to the public.

First Budget Hearing & Regular Council Meeting
6:30 to 11 p.m. Key Biscayne residents can follow two important Village proceedings in one evening, beginning with the First Budget Hearing and followed immediately by a Regular Council Meeting. Both meetings are open to the public, offering an opportunity to stay informed about the Village’s budget, priorities and other matters before the Council. Residents can also watch live on VKB-TV and local cable channels.

Rickenbacker Causeway Annual Pass Renewal Assistance
9 to 11:30 a.m. Key Biscayne residents age 65 and older can get in-person help renewing their Rickenbacker Causeway Annual Pass. Miami-Dade County representatives will be available at the Community Center to guide residents through the renewal process. Bring copies of your current driver’s license, vehicle registration, proof of Key Biscayne residency and transponder number.

Education Advisory Board Meeting
9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Stay connected to the education issues and initiatives affecting Key Biscayne students and families at the Village’s Education Advisory Board Meeting. The board meets to discuss local education priorities and matters relevant to the community’s schools and students. Open to the public.

RIAP Council Workshop
6 to 8 p.m. The Key Biscayne Village Council will hold a special workshop focused on RIAP, providing an opportunity for Council members to discuss the initiative and related matters in a public setting. Called by Mayor Joe I. Rasco, the workshop is open to the community.

September 11: We Remember
8:20 a.m. The Key Biscayne community will gather to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, honoring the lives lost and the heroes who responded that day. The Village’s remembrance ceremony includes the Key Biscayne Honor Guard, a moment of silence at 8:43 a.m., prayer, remarks from Mayor Joe Rasco and a remembrance by retired NYFD Captain Robert Senator. Followed by refreshments.

Grand Opening: PADL Wind Club at Crandon Park
3 to 6 p.m. A new home for wind and water sports is opening at Crandon Park. Celebrate the grand opening of PADL Wind Club, Miami’s newest destination for kitesurfing, wing foiling, paddleboarding and kayaking. After some time on the water, stick around for paella and beer, kitesurfing films and giveaways from PADL, Adventure Sports USA, Cabrinha and Dakine—all alongside South Florida’s wind sports community.

Air Hockey Tournament
5 to 7 p.m. Young players can put their speed, reflexes and air hockey skills to the test at the Key Biscayne Community Center’s Air Hockey Tournament. The competition is divided by age, with ages 8–12 starting at 5 p.m. and ages 13–16 at 6 p.m. Registration is required at the front desk by 4:15 p.m. Free for members and $7 for non-members.
