Man faces charges after JSO finds over 400K potentially deadly doses of fentanyl, other drugs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 41-year-old man is facing charges after the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said it found over 400,000 potentially lethal doses of fentanyl and other drugs in his Westside home.

Officials said they got information that Christopher Herndon was selling fentanyl, so they got a warrant and searched his home on Potomac Avenue on Aug. 27.

JSO said it seized:

849.2 grams of fentanyl

1.33 kilograms of methamphetamine

1.25 kilograms of powder cocaine

57.3 grams of crack cocaine

14.3 grams of marijuana

Nearly $12,000

3 cars

Officials said Herndon wrote in a notebook, “no police…will come to me.”

“If you are bringing in large amounts of deadly drugs into our community, our officers and detectives will come to you and hold you accountable,” JSO said.
