STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is dead after being struck by a freight train Friday morning.

The Stuart Police Department said officers responded around 12:43 a.m. to Southeast Dixie Highway and Southeast 15th Street after receiving reports of a train collision. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
