Two people hospitalized after Arlington shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla- – Two people were shot early Saturday in Jacksonville, and the suspect remained unidentified, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers responded at about 1:04 a.m. to Cesery Boulevard after receiving a report that two people had been shot. The victims were being treated for their injuries. Their conditions were not released.

Several shell casings were recovered at the scene, police said. Crime scene detectives were processing evidence while detectives with the Robbery and Violent Crime Unit interviewed witnesses, canvassed the area for surveillance video and followed up on investigative leads.

Investigators were still determining whether the victims knew the suspect and whether any nearby homes or businesses were struck by gunfire. Police have not said whether the victims are cooperating with the investigation.
