TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – For Noles Nation, Labor Day also means game day in Tallahassee.
RV lots on Florida State University’s campus were packed with fans Monday who have made their own Labor Day tailgating traditions.
Parents, students, alumni and fans gathered outside Doak Campbell Stadium, with garnet and gold visible throughout the RV lots as they prepared to cheer on their team.
For some fans, tailgating is more than just a pregame ritual.
Some tailgaters have incorporated FSU games into their schedules since they were kids. They bring out their RVs, have some food and enjoy being part of the Seminole community.

FSU alumnus Phil Braun said one of his favorite parts of tailgating is the sense of togetherness.
“When you come back from the stadium and you’re here and just walk back and everybody’s in a good mood and excited. Come back and celebrate together,” he said. “It’s just the togetherness right, everyone being together, hanging out. Even the rival team, we let them hang with us too.”
For those gathered in the RV lots, it’s about coming together, watching the team they love and making memories at the same time.
Current students also have their own ways of tailgating before heading inside the game.
