Disney On Ice: More than 30 of Disney’s original characters, including heroes, villains and sidekicks, will make an appearance in a new production coming to Amerant Bank Arena, 1 Panther Parkway, Sunrise. From Thursday through Sunday, “Spotlight Magic!” will feature figure skaters spinning stories to life on the ice, along with aerial acrobatics, a kinetic chandelier made of 64 glowing light bars and new LED technology. Sing along to music from “Hannah Montana,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Moana,” “Toy Story” and more. “Dress to impress,” organizers suggest, so you can take a stroll down the red carpet at intermission. Showtimes are 7 p.m Thursday and Friday; 11 a.m., 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday; and noon and 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets start at $38. Want to meet a character before the show? Gibson Garage Miami: Are you ready to rock? Design your very own dream electric or acoustic guitar when Gibson, the iconic instrument maker, opens its third-ever retail store this Thursday on the ground floor of Wynwood Garage, 2660 NW Third Ave., Miami. Inside the immersive, 8,000-square-foot space, peruse and play more than 500 guitars, including Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, MESA/Boogie and Maestro brands on display. Don’t forget to look up: A moving conveyor belt of guitars showcases the finishing process that takes place in each factory. The location has a live performance stage, clothing, gifts, celebrity and film memorabilia, and rare instruments. The Gibson Gallery art installation, “Amplified: Icons of Music Through the Lens,” also debuts with photography, street art and music history moments. A panel discussion with Miami artists Solano and Nate Dee, creators of the large-scale murals inside and outside the building, will take place at 5 p.m. Friday. Visit gibson.com.
Sept. 11 film screening: As South Florida prepares to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with ceremonies and other events this weekend, Savor Cinema, 503 SE Sixth St., in Fort Lauderdale, has planned a free screening of “United 93” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Directed by Paul Greengrass, the 2006 film is an account of the passengers and crew aboard the hijacked United Airlines Flight 93 that crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. West Palm Beach Home Show: Thinking about updating the kitchen? Experts are ready to dish about the latest trends in The Home Show’s Kitchen Showcase. In addition, attendees will find exhibitors selling windows, roofing, flooring, doors and everything else needed around the house in the Shiner Law Group Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds, 9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach. Bazaar Florida Tour: The next stop in the Gainesville-based Bazaar47’s night market series is in Dania Beach. From 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, the event will set up shop at MAD Arts, 481 S. Federal Highway, with 40 artisans selling handmade goods, art, vinyl records, clothes, baked goods and flash tattoos, among other items. Take part in pop-up activities such as dance battles and interactive workshops that focus on movement, painting, sewing, printmaking and tatreez (a Palestinian method of cross-stitching). A projection-mapped room will show local films curated by Subtropic Film Fest, Film.Cen.Tric and Shpshftr Events. Tickets are $5 both at bazaar47.com and at the door.

Boots & Blooms: Enjoy a night under the stars from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables. This South Florida hoedown will have music from the Back Country Boys and line dancing, as well as pie-eating and best get-up contests. Davie Pro Rodeo: This isn’t the Weekley Brothers’ first rodeo. They’ve been bucking around at Bergeron Rodeo Grounds in Davie since taking over nearly two decades ago. The second of three Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit events will burst out of the chute at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on the grounds at the Davie Arena, 4201 SW 65th Way. Watch as cowboys and cowgirls compete in bull riding, barrel racing, team roping and other disciplines. A patriotic ceremony — including riders with flags and salutes to veterans — starts each rodeo.
