St. Agnes Catholic Academy students will line the school campus Thursday morning, September 10, for a Heroes Parade honoring the people who serve and protect the Key Biscayne community.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. on Sept. 10, one day before the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Key Biscayne police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, active-duty military members, veterans, crossing guards and school security officers are invited to participate. Students will welcome them with signs, cheers and American flags while thanking them for their service.
The event is intended to give students an opportunity to recognize local first responders and others who serve the community while marking the anniversary of 9/11 in an age-appropriate way.
