On Tuesday, Sept. 1, Vicar’s Landing celebrated the completion of the Oak Bridge campus expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Laurel Oak Assisted Living and Willow Oak Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle Memory Care neighborhood.
Vicar’s Landing is a life plan community that offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home and health and wellness programs.
The ceremony recognized Laurel Oak Assisted Living and the Charlie & Yvonne Goldsmith Center, which recognizes the Goldsmiths’ generous commitment to the future of memory care. Because of their generosity, families will be able to benefit from meaningful engagement and purpose-driven programming for years to come.
Guests were able to tour the soon-to-open residences, meet Vicar’s Landing team members, community partners and providers, and learn more about Vicar’s Landing’s expanded assisted living and memory care.
The Charlie & Yvonne Goldsmith Center at Willow Oak introduces a Montessori-inspired approach to memory care that focuses on what individuals can do rather than what they can’t do. Through its partnership with the Center for Applied Research in Dementia (CARD), Vicar’s Landing trains team members based on the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. This model recognizes each person’s abilities, preferences, relationships and sense of purpose while also creating opportunities for meaningful living.
