Police investigate Fort Myers shooting near MLK Blvd, suspect in custody | Crime

The Fort Myers Police Department are at an area in Fort Myers for a shooting investigation early Sunday morning.

The incident happened near Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and Palm Avenue, close to Friendship Baptist Church.

A heavy police presence was visible as detectives worked to piece together the events surrounding the shooting.

One person was injured in the incident and transported to the hospital, but no fatalities have been reported.

Fort Myers police have a suspect in custody.
