September 11, 2026 – The City of Clearwater will host the “Celebrating 110 Years: The Carnegie Legacy Continues” event Sept. 14 at the Clearwater Main Library, at 100 N. Osceola Avenue, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. According to a prepared statement, the gathering “will look back at the beginnings of public library service in Clearwater and recognize the generations of residents who have made the library part of the community for more than a century.” Interestingly, philanthropist Andrew Carnegie’s donation of $10,000 to the city of Clearwater helped establish the municipality’s first public library.
