JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man in his mid-30s was shot multiple times early Friday morning during a home invasion on the city’s Westside, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Police said officers were called around 3:40 a.m. to a home on 20th Street West, which is in the Allendale neighborhood of the Westside.
They found a man with gunshot wounds to both arms and his back. He was taken to a hospital but is expected to recover.
Investigators said they learned two men wearing masks broke into the victim’s home, and during a struggle between the victim and one of the men, the victim was shot repeatedly.
No suspect descriptions were provided, and JSO said that the community’s assistance is critical in this investigation.
