NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK)— A 34-year-old Punta Gorda woman died after her Hyundai Elantra crashed into the back of a stopped work van on Del Prado Boulevard North.
The crash happened at 3:36 p.m. west of Monte Isola Way. The woman was traveling east on Del Prado Boulevard North when her vehicle collided with a Ford work van that was stopped in traffic directly in front of her.
The 25-year-old driver of the work van, from North Fort Myers, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
