Strong storms possible across Central Florida

  • November 9, 2025

ORLANDO, FL – A marginal risk is in place for Central Florida on Sunday, meaning a few storms could turn strong or even severe.

Expect on-and-off showers and storms throughout the day, with the most active window between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.

A few showers and storms may also linger overnight.

Storm chances on Sunday remain relatively low at 30%, but any storms that do form could pack a punch, with isolated damaging wind gusts being the main concern.

As daytime heating ramps up, the atmosphere gains enough energy for stronger storms to develop.

Sunday 2 P.M.

Around the metro area, showers and pockets of heavy rain may start popping up by late morning and continue through about 7 p.m.

Sunday 5 p.m.

Latest model guidance shows the focus shifting toward our coastal counties after 4 p.m. where storms could get stronger later in the day.
