LAS VEGAS — All the Miami Dolphins pregame inactive choices Sunday were healthy scratches, as the Dolphins entered Sunday’s season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders with no players with injury designations.

After joining the Dolphins as a free agent with expectations to contribute, wide receiver Jalen Tolbert was among the inactives announced 90 minutes prior to the 4:25 p.m. kickoff at Allegiant Stadium.

Tolbert, who is trying to once again find the success he had in 2024 with the Dallas Cowboys, appeared primed to be a top target or new Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis back in offseason organized team activities and minicamp.

By training camp, though, he was passed up by the emergence of rookie wide receivers Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell and Kevin Coleman Jr. Bell rose quickly after getting activated from the non-football injury list in the middle of camp, recovering from last November’s torn ACL while finishing his college career at Louisville.

Along with the rookies, third-year slot receiver Malik Washington is expected to be a formidable option for Willis. The fifth Miami receiver kept active on game day was Ryan Miller, who was only added on waivers two weeks ago. Miller is expected to be a premium contributor on special teams.

Other Dolphins inactives were guard DJ Campbell, tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick, cornerback Reese Taylor, tight end Justin Joly and quarterback Brady Cook, who is available as an emergency third quarterback behind Willis and backup Kyle McCord.

Joly’s scratch means Greg Dulcich and rookies Will Kacmarek and Seydou Traore are active. Traore is up for his first NFL game after making it to the league out of the international pathway program, hailing from London.

Having two offensive linemen inactive still allows the Dolphins to have eight available against the Raiders.

For the Raiders, joining tight end Brock Bowers, who was declared out earlier this past week due to a knee procedure, quarterback Aidan O’Connell, cornerback Darrell Luter Jr., safety Dalton Johnson, linebacker Cody Lindenberg, guard Bryce Cabeldue and defensive tackle JJ Pegues were their other inactives.

On Saturday, Las Vegas elevated tight end Chris Myarick, who has previously spent time with Miami to give Las Vegas more depth at the position without Bowers.
