The new location Fat One’s Hot Dogs & Italian Ice location at CityWalk in Universal Orlando Resort appears close to opening.
Fat One’s Opening Soon
Announced back in May, Fat One’s replaces Hot Dog Hall of Fame. Signage for the old hot dog restaurant is all gone. The exterior now has a red, black, and white color scheme.
A large screen was removed from above the counter. Though an opening date for Fat One’s has not been announced, new decorations and furniture are in place. Posts along the ramp are decorated with starry banners.
A similar starry design is around the counter. A crew member was cleaning the patio, where square tables now sit.
Some of the stadium-style chairs have been removed although could return before opening. There are small tables between these seats.
The menu board was illuminated above the ordering window. It includes various dogs, sides, desserts, and drinks.
A Fat One’s sign featuring Joey Fatone’s face is in a nearby flowerbed.
Owned by NSYNC member Joey Fatone and his manager Joe Mulvihill, Fat One’s serves classic dogs as well as Italian ices. There has been a food truck location in the Orlando area already, with pick-ups sometimes available depending on the neighborhood, according to the website.
