Students and staff at Martin County High School were evacuated Monday afternoon after a bomb threat prompted a response from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
In a message sent to families, school officials said all buildings were being evacuated at the direction of law enforcement while authorities investigate the threat.
“We are currently evacuating all buildings under the direction of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office due to a bomb threat. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority,” school officials said.
The school said it is working closely with law enforcement and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
No injuries have been reported, and officials have not released additional details about the nature of the threat or whether any suspicious items have been found.
