TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend is seeking sponsorships and support to continue providing after-school programs for local children and families.
CEO Kacy Dennis said the hours after school, particularly between 2 and 6 p.m., can be when youth are at a higher risk for crime or other negative activities.
“Those after-school hours are critical for kids to have a safe and productive place to be,” Dennis said. “This is where we work to fill that gap of time with positive activities where they can learn and grow in a safe environment.”
The organization is preparing for its upcoming Champions for Children: Denim & Diamonds Gala on Sept. 24. While tables for the event are sold out, the organization still needs support.
Donations help the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend provide programs and services to children and families at little to no cost. To become a sponsor, click here.
