ORLANDO, Fla. — Pride forward Barbra Banda has signed a new contract that will keep her in Orlando through the 2029 National Women’s Soccer League season, the club announced Monday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“I am very happy to continue my journey with Pride,” Banda said. “I want to thank my teammates, coaches, staff and the fans for believing in me and supporting me every day. Orlando has become a special place for me, and I am excited to keep fighting for this club and win more trophies together.”

In three regular seasons with the Pride, Banda has scored 37 goals and has 10 assists. In her first season with the Pride in 2024, the club captured the NWSL Shield for the league’s best record and won the NWSL championship. She also recorded four goals and an assist in the postseason. After that season, she won the 2024 NWSL Championship MVP and was selected to the 2024 NWSL Best XI First Team.

Last season, she had eight goals in 16 games, but her season was cut short because of an injury. The Pride advanced to the NWSL playoff semifinals.

So far in 2026, Banda scored a club-record 16 goals, ranking her second in the race for the Golden Boot, which is awarded to the player with the most goals at the end of the regular season. The 26-year-old already has surpassed Marta in single-season goals with Orlando. Marta scored 13 in 2017. Banda leads the club in scoring and tied for the team lead in assists this season.

“Barbra is a transformational player whose impact extends far beyond the goals she scores on the field,” Pride owner and Chairman Mark Wilf said. “She represents the ambition, excellence and winning culture we’ve built and want to sustain long-term. Since arriving in Orlando, she has helped elevate our club to new heights and establish us among the world’s premier women’s football organizations. …We are proud that Orlando will continue to be her home for years to come.”
