A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a cement truck on the Don Shula Expressway in Miami-Dade early Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. on the expressway at Killian Parkway when the motorcyclist collided into a cement truck, FHP officials said.
The motorcycle then caught fire, and the man driving it died at the scene, authorities said. His name was not immediately released.
The crash shut down all the southbound lanes for about three hours.
