A person was taken into custody after bomb threats were made toward two schools in Broward, officials said Wednesday.
Pioneer Middle School in Cooper City and Larkdale Elementary School in Lauderhill were notified by law enforcement before the start of the school day about the bomb threats, Broward County Public Schools officials said.
The threats were investigated by the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Lauderhill Police and a person of interest regarding the threats was taken into custody, officials said.
The person’s identity and any possible charges they may face weren’t released.
Officials said all students and staff were safe and the schools were following their normal schedules.
