Operating outside of the box has long been a calling card for Eunmi Ko, and the Tampa-based composer is really leaning in for the world premiere of new work by composers Tyler Kline and Joseph Klein.

Based in Tampa since 2014, Ko, who drives the Contemporary Art Music Project (CAMP), regularly contributed to the avant-garde music scene.

“I was genuinely sad to see the decline in collaborations between St. Pete’s arts spaces and musicians, so I’m particularly excited to return with a program that is fun, whimsical, a little weird, and—yes—still sophisticated!,” she wrote in an email to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay. “Along with the music, I’ll be reading my own story, which does not have a title yet, as well as Young Sycamore by William Carlos Williams and an excerpt from Blind Man by Elias Canetti.”

There’s no cover to see Eunmi Ko, Tyler Kline, and Joseph Klein at Suite E Studios in St. Petersburg on Friday, Sept. 18.
