Escape and adventure are the themes on each side of Sidequests, the new double-LP from St. Petersburg experimental rock and jam band Ajeva.

Opening with carefree indie-rock, the record—produced, mixed and mastered by the band’s own drummer Tucker Sody—turns into a dramatic prog-rock jam on the backside with huge contributions from bassist Taylor Gilchrist.

In midst of a short Southeastern headlining tour, with a few dates opening for Andy Frasco mixed in, Ajeva plays a two-set homecoming album release show where they’ll do the album in full and also do the band’s elusive rave set.

Tickets to see Ajeva at Bayboro Brewing in St. Petersburg on Saturday, Sept. 19 are still available and start at $24.80.
