TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – UPDATE: Those affected by the local power outage are down to 1,000, according to the city outage map.
INITIAL STORY: Over 6,000 are without power in downtown Tallahassee, according to the city’s outage map.
A city spokesperson said that crews are working to address the issue.
“Crews are on-site and have identified the issue and are making repairs,” a city spokesperson said.
The city’s outage map says 6,189 are without power, with an estimated restoration time of 6:07 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol website, traffic lights on West Tennessee Street were out, but traffic cameras show they are now operating.
This comes after a power outage at a Florida State University football game delayed the game for nearly two hours.
