St. Petersburg is a city of museums, and many of them will let you in for free this weekend as part of the “Arts Alive” promotion. Nearly a dozen museums are participating, and while some require advance registration, others do not.
Highlights on the promotion include downtown’s MFA St. Pete, the Dalí just down the street, FloridaRAMA, The Woodson African American Museum of Florida, and James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art. The Morean Arts Center, which is always free, is also included, duh.
In a press release, organizer St. Petersburg Arts Alliance said the holiday, “encourages everyone to discover the city’s vibrant arts whether visiting a favorite museum or discovering a new one.”
